I am the founder of QiFlow: The Five Seasons Method and the forthcoming author of The Five Seasons Method (Scribner, 2026). My work brings together Taoist philosophy, Chinese medicine, and the living wisdom of Tai Chi and QiGong, reimagined for modern life.
I grew up in Japan, surrounded by traditions that honored nature and seasonal living, which planted the seeds for the path I walk today. For over 30 years, I have devoted myself to the study and practice of Tai Chi, QiGong, and Taoist energy medicine. I spent more than a decade training intensively under the legendary grandmaster Bow Sim Mark, whose teaching continues to shape my path. During this time, I also taught in Boston’s Chinatown and competed in national and international Wushu and Tai Chi competitions, where I earned multiple gold medals. These experiences became the foundation for a lifelong exploration of movement, healing, and the inner energy we all carry.
Out of this journey, I created QiFlow: The Five Seasons Method — a seasonally aligned system of movement, meditation, and energy medicine that helps people awaken vitality, release toxicity, and return to balance.
Through my studio, online courses, and global community, I’ve shared this work with thousands of students, from those recovering from illness and trauma to those seeking a deeper connection with life’s natural rhythm. My teachings have reached a wide audience, including more than 115,000 followers on Instagram, where I offer seasonal insights and practices.
Today, my focus is to make ancient wisdom accessible in ways that feel nourishing, modern, and deeply human. QiFlow is not only a practice, it is an invitation to live in harmony with the hidden energy of the seasons, and with the seasons of our own lives.
